View of London, England

LIFESTYLE LIVING TRAVEL

When driving through the city and you see all the British flags, you know you’re in London.  And then, to capture a breathtaking view of Big Ben, from the London Eye, puts it all into prospective.  Now, the icing on the cake was a trip to Buckingham Palace, to see the changing of the guard, what a thrill.  My only disappointment was that I was a little late getting to the Palace and missed “Afternoon Tea” with the Queen. But perhaps she and I can catchup on my next trip to the beautiful, beautiful city of London (just kidding!!! :))

From Buckingham Palace, we went to lunch at a London pub, St. George’s Tavern, and ate fish and chips, delicious!!!  Then on to the London Bridge, just in time to see it open. And then, on to see the Crown Jewels; now, that was something special.  The brilliance and beauty of the crown jewels was indescribable; definitely worth the visit.

Finally chaps (as they say in London), we were off to Southhampton to set sail on a Scandinavian Cruise, up the Baltic Sea.
