The Beauty of the Open Sea
On my first cruise (12-Day Scandinavian cruise) somewhere on the Baltic Sea, in Northern Europe (enclosed by several Baltic states), I experienced The Beauty of the Open Sea. I perceived so many things as I looked out onto this vast expanse of water with no land in sight. It was peaceful and spiritual and alluring, full of life and beauty, the sound of the waves was musical; at the same time, it was magical and mysterious and you could sense its power. And I couldn’t help but think of the scriptures and how that when God created the world, He separated the waters in the atmosphere (heavens) from the waters on the earth. “Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so. And God called the dry land earth and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.” (Genesis 1:6-10) How Great and Awesome is our God!!!
Thank you Lord, for allowing me to behold the beauty and power of Your handiwork.
