My Sweet Jesus

A Word of Faith

Yesterday, I was thinking about how sweet Jesus is and how He has loved me and kept me and has always been there for me.  Long before I met the Lord Jesus, He declared His love for me, and He promised to never leave me or forsake me. Imagine that!  And I cannot think of a time when He was not with me; times when my heart was broken and shattered, He was there to pick up the pieces.  When I was suffering with various health problems, He was always there holding my hand through every fear, hurt, pain and surgery.  When I was lost in my selfish quest to do things my way, My Sweet Jesus, with long suffering, waited patiently for me to see His Light and learn the lessons He’d been trying to teach me, all along.

When “I called to the Lord in my distress, and I cried to my God for help.  From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached His ears.” (Psalms 18:6)

The Lord our God, My Sweet Jesus, hears our prayers and cries.  On the cross at Calvary, He demonstrated His unconditional/everlasting love for us and promised to never leave us or forsake us.  If you do not know the Lord Jesus for yourself.  I encourage you to take a moment and invite Him (Jesus Christ) to come and live in your heart, today and forever more.  Inviting the Lord to live in your heart does not mean life will be perfect.  There will be disappointments and heartaches, bumps in the road, and thorns in the flesh, but with Sweet Jesus, the Lord our God, our heartaches, bumps, and thorns will be easier to bear.

For He has Promised to:

Love us with an everlasting love, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

Pick up the pieces of our brokenness and use them for good, “He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.” (Psalms 147:3; Romans 8:28)

Hold our hand when we are suffering, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.”  (Isaiah 41:10,13)

Show us His long suffering and patience, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”  (2 Peter 3:9)

My Sweet Jesus, I love You, I praise You, I adore and exalt Your holy and righteous Name.  Words truly cannot express my gratitude and thankfulness for all you have done for me throughout my life…  For “if the Lord (You) had not been on (my) our side,” I do not know where I would be today.  Thank you for coming into my life, granting me eternal life, and for extending Your eternal love, mercy, forgiveness, and grace toward me (us), In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Considering all things, has Jesus been sweet to you?
