Lord, I Look to You

A Word of Faith Elevenses Teatime

Out of my distress I called on the Lord; The Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can [mere] man do to me?

Psalms 118:5,6 (AMP)

My heart was heavy trying to process the distressing occurrence in our nation’s capital on January 6, 2021.  So, I called out to the Lord, the Only One Who knows, sees, and completely understands all things.  And I thank Him for speaking to my heart from His word:

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His mightPut on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which, you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Godpraying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”

Ephesians 6:10-18 (AMP)

Unfortunately, many driven by forces of evil may not understand what is driving them.  That is why we (the saints of God) must fast and pray for healing and deliverance.

Lord God our Father and Creator of Heaven and Earth,

I exalt and magnify Your holy and righteous name for You are the True and Living God, Almighty.  King of kings and Lord of lords!  There is none like You in all the earth!  I PRAISE YOU, OH LORD!  For You are worthy of all praise!

I thank You, Lord, that I am Your child; therefore, I come before you, quickly, confessing that I have sinned and fallen short of Your holy standards.  Please forgive me, Lord.  I thank You for Your word of promise that “if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness.”  Lord, thank You for Your loving kindness and Your tender mercies.

Lord, it seems we are going through an on-slot of trials, troubles, tribulations, and disease.  Please have mercy on this land, the United States of America, and the world over.  For we stand in the need of prayer today, Lord.  As your word says,

“In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.  And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of God’s people in accordance with God’s will.”

Romans 8:26,27 (AMP)

So, Lord, I look to You, and ask that you intercede on our behalf that we might receive healings in our hearts and bodies, deliverance, tender mercies and miracles of peace throughout this land and the world over, according to Your will.  In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
