Prince Edward Island, Canada
Prince Edward Island (PEI) is a Province of Canada, one of the three Canadian Maritime Provinces. Charlottetown is the capital city which was named in honor of Queen Charlotte, queen consort of King George III. Next, it was on to the community of Cavendish, in the Prince Edward Island National Park, where we stood on the iconic red sandstone cliffs of Cavendish Beach. From there, we visited the Green Gables Farmhouse, the inspiration and setting for the novel “Anne of Green Gables” by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
