Embrace the Good Things

A Word of Faith Elevenses Teatime

There is no doubt, that all the disturbing, mean-spirited, cold, callus, and despicable daily, unfolding news stories, can cloud our vision and hinder us from seeing the Good that God is trying to show us.

So, what can we do about it? Take a time-out, turn-off the TV, shut-down the social media, and find a quiet space where we can be still and refocus on the power and beauty of our God, all that He has created and made that cannot be compromised by, compared to, or manipulated by the ineptitude of man.

Today, I implore the power, glory, beauty and majesty of His handiwork in all the earth.

For this world and all of its glory was created by Him, and for Him.  And His Awesome Power far exceeds the weight of the world’s daily unfolding of troubles.  Yes, we all should be aware of what is going on in the world.  But When the weight of the world gets so heavy, remember God’s word that reminds us that, “All things work together for the Good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

Therefore, instead of focusing on the troubles of the day, I believe God is teaching us to refocus on His Awesome Power and glory, and the good things in every situation.  Some good is always there! Look for it!  Sometimes it takes being still and taking a closer look and being reminded of the Power of God, our Creator.  For in the mist of all the confusion and chaos the Lord our God is doing Good things, Great and Awesome things, even eternal works that we cannot see, right now. “For now, we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.” (I Corinthians 13:12)

I challenge you to “embrace the good things” in your life that have come out of the 2020 Pandemic, social distancing, and time of quarantine.
