A Prayer of Thanksgiving
“I urge, then, first, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.“

Dear Lord,
Thank you for blessing the United States of America with our new President, Joseph R. Biden, Jr., and Vice President Kamala D. Harris.
Thank you for blessing America with a God-fearing man, in President Biden, who loves You and this great nation that You have created. Lord, I give You thanks and praise for filling his heart with love, empathy, compassion, care, and his genuine desire to serve all the people of this nation.
Oh, God! I Thank You, and praise You for bringing him through his difficult times, those hard places in his life that shaped him into a man of integrity and godly character, who stands for justice, righteousness, and truth. Lord, thank You for preparing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for such a time as this, AD 2021.
Thank you, Lord, for the Biden and Harris circles of family and friends who love and support them. Please keep their families strong in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, and use their families as instruments of encouragement, strength, and peace. Above all, may President Biden and Vice President Harris always look to You to fulfill their every need.
Father, I know President Biden is not perfect, but because he strives to be pleasing to You, I pray Your Holy Spirit guard and protect him; Your goodness and mercy follow him and keep him safe from evil. Lord, please cover him with Your blood and show him grace and favor in the days, months and years to come. Lord God, please fortify his being with strength from heaven and help him in “The Battle for the Soul of the Nation.” Please let Your wisdom guide him in every decision, and give him the moral courage to use the powers of the presidency to exercise and carryout needed actions, for the good of all. And I pray that You cause his godly influence to make a positive difference in the hearts and souls of this nation and the world at large.
And dear God, please bless President Biden and Vice President Harris with an administration of highly qualified, capable, honest, like-minded professional people of integrity, who will follow his leadership, as he follows You. And please give President Biden grace and favor as he works across party lines, for the good of the people. And for anyone who does not know You, Lord, I pray that they will see You through President Biden’s leadership. And as President Biden is subject to You:
“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended.” This is the word of the Lord!
