Elevenses Teatime

Welcome to The Elevenses Teatime

Elevenses is an 18th Century informal British teatime tradition, taken with a refreshing light snack and delightful warm tea or coffee, before lunch; like the American 10 to 15-minute work break. Unlike the familiar formal teatimes, such as, Afternoon tea, High tea and Evening tea, Elevenses is an informal teatime taken at eleven o’clock, with less frill and fuss. It’s typically taken with homemade or fresh baked goodies (savory biscuits, scones, cakes, pies, a simple warm bun or whatever you enjoy).

Elevenses has become my favorite teatime. For me, it’s not just about the tea, coffee or the light snacks. I look forward to Elevenses to garner enlightenment, inspiration and encouragement to move me through my day with a renewed energy and positive perspective; something I would like to share with you.

Enduring Through Trials

Elevenses Teatime

The word of the Lord declares, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it”
(I Corinthians 10:13)
